1.Develops radio-graphs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results.
2.Forwards radio-graphs to the radiologist for review and interpretation. Produces radio-graphs in satellite facilities.
3.Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment. Cleans and maintains processors.
4.Ensures and assists in the accurate timing and positioning techniques.
5.Processes the necessary paperwork for billing purposes and accepts payment.
6.Assists in training new Radiologic Technician I's.
7.Adheres to laboratory safety procedures.
8.Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
9.Other duties as assigned.
Graduate from an approved two year program in Radiologic technology; or Qualified as a TSBDE registered Dental Assistant and a DANB certified dental assistant with a minimum of two years experience in radiology technology.
Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); or Qualified to perform dental radiographic procedures by being a:
1) Licensed Dental Hygienist currently registered in Texas; or
2) Dental Assistant registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) and currently a certified as a Dental Assistant by the Dental Assisting National Board Inc (DANB)
3+ years as a radiology tech
