Sinclair Community College has an enrollment of approximately 26,000 students, and is the largest community college in the State of Ohio. Sinclair is currently seeking people interested in part-time (adjunct) teaching for day, evening, online and weekend courses at our Downtown campus, Englewood and Huber Heights, Preble County Learning Centers as well as our Courseview campus in Mason, OH.
*Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning
*Meet scheduled classes in accordance with college policy
*Prepare, distribute and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies
*Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies
*Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs
*Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
*Maintain accurate records of student progress
*Submit final grades according to established deadlines
*Maintain confidentiality of student information
*Exercise stewardship of College facilities and materials
*Attend departmental, divisional and College meetings and events as feasible
*Maintain familiarity with College goals, mission and long-range plans
*Responsible for clinical instruction, evaluation, supervision, and disciplinary action (when applicable) at clinical education settings in accordance with program goals, program and clinical education setting clinical policies, and program clinical objectives
*Maintains open communication with program clinical coordinator and program director regarding implementation of clinical policies and procedures
*Participates in clinical faculty meetings, clinical policy development and implantation, and performs competency evaluations and holds conferences with students as scheduled by program policies and clinical syllabi
*Maintains competency in the professional discipline and instruction and evaluative techniques through continuing professional development
A minimum of two (2) years of practices in radiography as a certified ARRT radiographer
*Maintenance of an Ohio radiographer license
*Successful clinical and teaching experience in radiologic technology is preferred
*Bachelor’s degree in related area preferred
