SUMMARY:
Responsible for origination of long-term mortgage loans as well as lot, construction, and bridge loans.
Responsible for promoting mortgage products as a professional sales representative to prospective accounts.
Develops and maintains productive working relationships with customers that allow sales and marketing goals to be achieved.
Conducts initial pre-qualification interviews and prepares complete loan application packages and necessary documentation.
Conveys policies for extension of credit in accordance with company and secondary investor guidelines.
Meets scheduling and documentation requirements and production expectations as determined by the Real Estate Assistant Manager.
Serves customers, prospective customers, builders, developers and realtors promptly and professionally.
Provides general company information and cross sells services.
Assists Mortgage Loan team as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION : High school graduate or equivalent. Additional college coursework in business or related field preferred. Must be/or become registered as an MLO and have a Nationwide Licensing Number.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of the foundation of determining credit worthiness. Knowledge of company loan policies, products, procedures, processing and underwriting guidelines. Familiarity with title reports, insurance and appraisals.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : One to two years of related loan processing experience. Real estate background helpful.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : This position is subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all loan officers engaged in residential loan mortgage originations (as defined by the SAFE Act) must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements. If at any time the credit union determines that your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to register successfully or to maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE
Act will affect your eligibility for continued employment and may result in your immediate termination.
