Our control software enables these systems to achieve extremely high levels of physical simulation fidelity and performance by enabling advanced controls, data acquisition and modeling capabilities. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Lead the design and implementation of new concepts and features for our control software while contributing to the overall product direction. Focus on expertise of real-time networks and control software.
Lead the design and implementation of real-time networks on the control software platform.
Act as the expert on real-time networks from a software perspective.
Coordinate with system, electrical and software engineering, purchasing, product management and others throughout the organization to ensure alignment on priorities, plans and organizational needs
Coordinate with vendors on network stacks, implementations, integrations with our products, etc.
Design, code test and document software solutions for specific feature requests and to solve customer problems.
Build robust software that provides outstanding customer experience.
Design and implement software solutions that balance strategic and tactical requirements and needs.
Actively participate in Scrum process to help the entire team succeed.
Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field
5+ years' professional software engineering experience
Strong experience with real-time networks such as EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, CAN Bus and ProfiNet
Demonstrated success as a member of highly technical software teams that deliver high-quality and on-time software products
Solid working knowledge of C/C++
7 + years' professional software engineering experience
Hands-on system experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Agile/Scrum processes preferred
