Job Description:
Responsible for receiving all food,
beverage, general items, mail and
packages.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:
  • Ability to push and/or pull a cart
weighing approximately 100 pounds,
including up and down inclines.
  • Ability to constantly lift and move
approximately 75 pounds, including
setting and storing in overhead
areas.
  • Ability to carry out all safety and
emergency procedures (i.e. fire,
crowd control, inclement weather or
bomb threats).
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel,
climb and reach.
  • Ability to stand and walk on a
continuous basis.
  • Ability to properly maintain and
operate electronic equipment (i.e.
calculators, telephone, computers
and printers).
  • Ability to move freely within work
areas.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged
periods of time.
  • Ability to work in temperature
extremes.
  • Ability to interact with guests and
other associates in a courteous,
empathetic and discreet manner.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
including use of percentages.
  • Ability to read and write
effectively, including maintaining
filing system and logs.
  • Ability to record all food
temperatures.
  • Ability to operate and receive
certification for operating electric
pallet jacks in accordance to OSHA
requirements.
  • Ability to follow HACP standards on
food handling safety.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
(i.e. company pickup truck and
passenger van).
  • Ability to maintain regular and
punctual attendance.
  • Ability to adhere to Peabody
grooming standards.
  • Ability to exemplify Peabody
Service Excellence®.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Possession of a valid Florida
Driver’s License.

Job Requirements:
  • Ensures all ordered products are being delivered by
matching delivery ticket or packing slip with
receiving worksheet to verify quantity and
description of product.
  • Reports all back orders and shortages to the
Purchasing Department immediately.
  • Attaches invoices to receiving worksheets,
signs/dates and places into appropriate slot once
the items have been received.
  • Verifies that the receiver and delivery driver
initials all shortages on all invoices, packing
lists or delivery receipt.
  • Contacts storeroom clerks after items are received
to put away in storerooms or calls individual
departments to pick up supplies at their earliest
convenience.
  • Keeps record log of all incoming general supplies
for individual departments requiring associates
signature.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner at
all times.
