High school graduate

Associate Degree in Business or Communications field preferred

At least 1 year customer service experience required, preferably in medical or business office

Equipment Used/Special Skills Required:
Knowledge of computers, printers, scanner, calculator, telephone, fax and copy machine

Must be able to communicate effectively and patiently with the community and professionals, organize and prioritize both individual and team goals while working independently

Successful completion of department orientation, able to understand simple medical terminology

Performs duties within 3 months with little assistance from others

Position Summary:
Coordinates the registration functions of the clinic

Uses proper telephone etiquette

Must be able to collect and enter high quality demographic/insurance/employer information

Must be able to understand and apply all rules related to the registration process as mandated by Federal and State regulatory agencies

Must be able to communicate/interact effectively with all contacts including patients, physicians, employers and their office staff

Must be able to respond to an emergent situation by providing comfort measures and notifying appropriate clinical personnel if this should occur during registration

Performs other related duties
