The Recognition Analyst develops models and analyses to discover and maximize opportunities to leverage Express Scripts Total Rewards offerings (with a primary emphasis on recognition-related efforts), to enhance employee engagement, drive productivity, and continually improve quality. This position is responsible for assessing the impact of recognition related investments as well as ensuring related investments are as economical and effective as possible by applying research and statistical methodologies.


1. Secure and aggregate data related to the effective application of Recognition & Total Rewards offering.

2. Plan the transformation, cleansing, and profiling data in preparation for (multiple) analyses.

3. Explore, analyze and model statistical relationships through both exploratory investigations. Methods used include: data mining, correlation, linear/logistic regression and structural equation modeling.

4. Plan, track, and document project tasks.

5. Present findings and recommendations related to maximizing Express Scripts Total Rewards investments as applied within the organization to internal audiences.

6. Deliver and automate routine reporting and analytical tasks.



-Bachelor's degree
-Advanced degree in statistics-related field preferred
-2-5 years relevant experience or Master's degree with 0-2 years relevant experience
-Experinece in Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, or process improvement related discplines preferred
-Excellent verbal and written communications , facilitation and presentation skills
-Excellent PC Skills including Microsoft Office suite, Internet and Outlook
-Must have programming skills and proficiency using statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, AMOS) and data mining programs (e.g., RapidMiner, Hadoop)
-Strong organizational, time management and follow up skills
-Ability to effectively multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment
-Strong sense of urgency
-Ability to drive efficient execution through others to achieve timelines and deliverables
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitve information with tact and descretion
-Ability to work a flexible schedule
-Ability to effectively multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment
-Knowledge of research best practices, statistical and behavioral theory and applications
-Strong problem solving skills and ability to communicate complex relations
