Recognition Analytics Manager

The Manager - Recognition leads the development of models and reports to discover, seize, and ensure the efficient (cost effective) adoption of Express Scripts Total Rewards offerings to enhance employee engagement, advance productivity, and continually improve quality. This position will be responsible for leading, guiding, and developing a team of analysts responsible for assessing the impact of recognition investments as well as ensuring related investments are as cost effective as possible by applying research and statistical methods.


1. Network (with HR COEs, HRGs, and business leaders) and research to understand business needs and objectives, to inform team of research and analysis areas of focus to maximize Recognition/Total Rewards investments and returns across the organization as well as provide suggestions to make enhancements

2. Provide guidance, direction, coaching, development and counseling to team members to meet department objectives.

3. Provide subject matter expertise to business partners and team members to promote the application of best practices.

4. Ensure quality and service standards are maintained.

5. Direct the analysis and modeling of statistical relationships through various methods and piloting.

6. Present findings and recommendations related to maximizing Express Scripts Total Rewards investments as applied within the organization to internal audiences.


-Bachelor's degree (advanced degree is statistics-related field preferred)
-5- 8 years relevant experience or Master's degree with 3 - 5 years relevant experience
-Experinece in Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, or process improvement related discplines preferred
-Excellent verbal and written communications , facilitation and presentation skills
-Excellent PC Skills including Microsoft Office suite, Internet and Outlook
-Strong assessment capabilities
-Solid analytical and problem solving abilities
-Effective training and coaching skills
-Ability to drive results and achieve objectives through others
-Strong organizational, time management and follow up skills
-Ability to effectively multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment
-Strong sense of urgency
-Ability to drive efficient execution through others to achieve timelines and deliverables

-Commitment to cross-training and continual learning
-Working knowledge of assigned work streams and/or core business processes preferred
-Must have demonstrated competency in: effective relationship building, fundamental management principles, and communication
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Must have programming skills and proficiency using statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, AMOS) and data mining programs (e.g., RapidMiner, Hadoop)
-Proven leadership skills, team-orientation, and a proactive and optimistic management style
-Ability to work cross- functionally to solve complex problems and improve quality and service, including virtual management
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitve information with tact and descretion
-Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed (estimate up to 30%)
-Ability to effectively multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment
-Knowledge of research best practices, statistical and behavioral scientific theory and applications
