This is routine manual and clerical work in the reception, transportation and distribution of mail,messages, and supplies/equipment. An employee in this class is responsible for the operation of a motor vehicle and various pieces of equipment in the pickup, processing and delivery of various forms of written communication and other materials. Employee may also be required to pick up and deliver various purchases for the department. Supervision is received from an administrative superior who reviews work in progress and records of accomplishments.

1. Operates a motor vehicle to retrieve, carry and deliver messages, intra-departmental and inter-departmental and outside mail, materials, supplies, and equipment to community centers, city facilities, and other locations as needed. 2. Sorts mail by department and division for delivery; delivers mail by foot where practical. 3. Performs related work as required for this position.

The Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED plus possession of a valid State of Florida Driver's License, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
