The Recruiting Generalist is responsible for all aspects of recruiting for TechSmith to ensure we are hiring smart, passionate talent. This includes developing recruiting plans, using our traditional strategies and resources as well as developing new, innovative recruiting ideas. The Recruiting Generalist will also assist with benefits, training and other HR activities.
Develop and execute recruiting plans
Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees
Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives
Assist in screening, interviewing and reference checking
Administrative duties and recordkeeping
Help create and maintain all required documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations and company policy
Support and share responsibilities with payroll and benefits
Assist Human Resources Manager on other assignments and/or special projects as requested
Perform other duties as assigned
There will be some travel
Required Skills and Background:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
Prefer at least three years of professional Human Resources experience, with an emphasis on recruiting
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of social media
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
Skills in database management and record keeping
Must be able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
Interviewing experience and presentation skills
Innovative/Creative problem solver
Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances or new information/situations
