The IT Recruiter will contribute to Golfsmith’s success by supporting strategic staffing goals to attract, develop, and retain a high-quality diverse workforce. This position is primarily responsible for recruiting IT positions for the corporate office and will drive the recruiting process. The Recruiter will support and define staffing needs and sourcing strategies and manage the entire recruiting process and relationship building with all external and internal contacts.
Effective candidate sourcing and selection processes for recruiting professional, exempt, and non-exempt level positions at the corporate level.
Responsible for posting open positions internally and externally via appropriate channels
Effective screening, behavioral-based interviewing, and securing talent with an emphasis on quality, professionalism, and fit
Creatively source both active and passive candidates who fit our opportunities; fosters relationships with high potential candidates for future opportunities
Develops and manages relationships with external parties to build a high quality and diverse candidate pool
Engages in timely and appropriate communications with all candidates, hiring managers, and vendors. Ensures that candidates have a highly positive experience during the Golfsmith recruitment and selection process.
Coordinate relocation efforts of candidates as needed
Identifies focused recruitment strategy, obtains required position approvals, conducts post interview debrief meetings to select finalists and makes job offers, negotiates with candidates and closes offers
Leads or supports special staffing projects and initiatives
Proactively identifies and implements effective sourcing strategies while continuously building and sustaining a high quality of diverse candidate pipeline
Consults with hiring managers on recruitment and interview process for current and future approved openings.
Works directly with the Human Resource team to understand strategic business objectives and organizational design and to develop strategies to meet current and future staffing needs
2 – 4 years of recruiting and selection experience in a high growth, fast-paced environment.
Experience in recruiting IT professionals (Oracle, .Net, DBA, UNIX backgrounds)
Proven experience cold calling/creative sourcing/screening an active and passive diverse candidate pool for a broad range of positions
Ability to speak clearly and persuasively, listen and get clarification, respond well to questions and exhibit group presentation skills
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be very organized with priority driven goals and sense of urgency
Extensive knowledge of internal and external recruiting strategies, including previous establishment of career pathing and career management systems in an organization
Work well independently and task oriented, persistent and flexible
Must have strong computer skills and internet recruiting
