We currently have a career opportunity for a Refurbishment Technician (Welde r) at our Mabank, Texas facility .
The welder welds metal parts together using specified welding processes, and performs related tasks such as flame cutting and grinding.
Must be able to fabricate from blueprints and maintain stringent tolerances at all times.
Operate various metal forming and cutting machines such as Rollers, Shears, Iron Worker, Brakes, Drill Presses, and Saws.
Weld all metals, ferrous and non-ferrous. GTAW (TIG) and/or MIG welding processes.
Able to pass TIG and/or MIG test as provided by our organization
Uses TIG welder to assemble fabricated metal products in an efficient manner to maximize production
Produces strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent
Follows required procedures and uses appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process.
Maintains/produces a level of output that will maximize production delays.
Cleans and maintains an orderly work area
Assist other individuals in area when needed
Other duties as deemed necessary and requested by the supervisor
Intimately familiar with Welding Safety and OSHA requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of the welding process and equipment
Math skills including fractions and angles
Ability to read tape measures and angle finders
Ability to ready blueprint drawings and cut lists
Day shift position with probability of mandatory overtime
Must be able to speak and understand English
Proven job stability (no gaps >6 months) & (most >2 years)
Two (2) years experience in industrial pipe fitting and welding
Ability to weld vertical, flat, overhead welds with a good penetration and a quality appearance
Physical ability to work and weld in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead
Ability to operate various shop tools including power and manually operated wrenches
Trained forklift operation
Trained in overhead crane operation
Local candidates will be given strong preference.
