Regional Sales & Operations Manager - Middle East-North Africa (MENA)

The Regional Sales & Operations Manager (RSOM) is responsible for generating profitable commercial sales growth and providing Applications Engineering Technical support for Flexpipe’s core products in the territory. The RSOM will lead development of new revenue streams in close collaboration with the VP and GM; Business Development Manager and Strategic partners in MENA territory. The RSOM will establish and maintain direct contacts with NOC’s, Independent Operators and Consulting Engineering firms or others having offices in MENA that influence decisions in the Oil & Gas Industry. The RSOM will also provide onsite installation & training for local Strategic Partners and Contractors in the region who will be installing Flexpipe in collaboration with and support from LAM & EMAR Operations Manager. The RSOM will also have primary responsibility for Pipeline Applications Engineering support for the MENA territory.

The RSOM will also participate in developing and leading the execution of the annual Business Plan for MENA, in collaboration with the VP & GM, to achieve the targeted growth in revenue and operating income. The RSOM will provide insightful and detailed business analysis and feedback, including changes or additions to Strategic Sales Distribution Service Partner network as may be required from time to time, related to core Flexpipe business and/or new products and business ventures as they arise.

Key Responsibilities :
Initiate and maintain direct contact with all potential end-users and/or influencers in the MENA region to drive achievement of targeted Sales and OI growth.

Work in close collaboration with the VP & GM; the Business Development Manager; the Field Operations Manager LAM & EMAR and local Strategic partners to develop and execute annual business Plan.

Provide primary Field Operations support for all Flexpipe installations in the MENA territory.

Handle all Pipeline Applications Engineering reviews and technical support in the MENA territory.

Required Qualifications and Competencies for the Position :
Business to business sales – specific experience in selling technology or value added services. Understanding how and why organizations adopt new technologies.

Understanding of new business sales, experience with prospecting/qualifying and commercializing business relationships.

The ability to maintain focus, persistence and work ethic through long sales cycles in the pursuit of new industrial opportunities. Possibility of 12-24 month duration before the commercialization of relationships.

The ability to build specific tools or presentations to facilitate growth and overcome entry barriers to new and established markets. (EOR solutions, rental programs, etc.)

Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to engage resources cross functionally from all aspects of the organization.

Ability to quantify growth opportunities and to build the business case for pursuing the identified opportunity.

The ability to rank growth opportunities in order of priority and to allocate time and resources accordingly.

The ability to work independently in a remote location

The ability to work as a team player.

Bachelor’s degree

Post-Secondary Degree Preferred

MBA a plus but not required

Professional Engineering designations a plus

6 to 10 years of Sales and BD experience in the Oil and Gas industry with an in depth knowledge of industry trends and activities
