CompassLearning has an immediate opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager for our Northern Region.

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) increases revenue (strategic business development) while overseeing a team of regional account executives and account representatives who sell company’s products and services to new and current users in an assigned geographic region through direct, face-to-face contact. RSM will hold the same regional quota as the RVP and will be compensated based on quota attainment. Goal is to increase the independence and revenue production of our AE’s and ARs. RSM will assist in building the pipeline by driving prospecting activities.

Essential Functions:
Assists in positioning products/services to new customers in an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned team revenue objectives;

Supports/Coaches Account Executives and Account Representatives in sales presentations to match company’s products with identified needs;

Supports/Coaches Account Executives and Account Representatives in CompassLearning sales process

Remain knowledgeable of company’s products to facilitate sales efforts;

Prospecting and networking to acquire new customers

Direct Account Executives and Account Representatives to maintain accurate sales records, forecasts and prospect leads as required;

Attends trade shows and User Group meetings while coaching and mentoring Account Representatives

Provide follow-up with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction with products and/or services provided.

Essential Qualifications:
Sales management experience

A Bachelor’s degree;

Experience in strategic sales coaching

Ten plus years of sales experience; preferably with a software organization selling products and services in the education market;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Expertise and interest in education software presentations;

Ability to close sales in a professional and effective manner;

Experience with the Miller Heiman Strategic Selling and Conceptual Selling methodologies preferred

Travel approximately 65%

Candidate must reside in Northern portion of the US near a major airport.
