We seek out exceptional salespeople with the ability to see and link the pieces of the big picture together across all functions to make our business grow and flourish.This is an amazing opportunity for a quota busting sales professional.Responsibilities: • Prospect new accounts, generate interest, qualify and develop new business.• Work independently to meet and exceed revenue targets and goals assigned to the territory.• Develop an overall account strategy leading to the deployment of a well-executed team selling effort into the assigned accounts. Team will include sales, corporate management, and technical sales support.• Focus on Customer Satisfaction and retention.Requirements: • Must have an exceptional track record selling high-end software solutions, preferably in the data storage, networking, and caching or systems software areas, to large, Fortune 500 type accounts.• Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of direct selling experience. Established relationships in the industry are a big plus. • Strong knowledge of at least one of these: Application Delivery Controller, Data Storage, Data Caching, Networking/Communications, Systems Software• Individual must possess good communication skills and ability to interact with all levels or organizations.

  • Track record of exceeding quotas year after year.• Exceptional sales presentation skills are mandatory. • Resides in the targeted geography w/local relationships• Good working experience with key local resellers and experience establishing and fostering strong Channel Partner relationships• Experience using salesforce.com is a plus.• Bachelor degreeRiverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD) is a San Francisco-based company.
