The purpose of this job is to manage complex trust and investment relationships for Trustmark’s most affluent individual/personal clients. In addition to managing complex client relationships, this job will also be responsible for implementing and managing the Trust department’s strategic plan for the assigned region in order to increase revenue thru expanding the franchise in such a way as to develop qualified and profitable Trust accounts through a variety of channels. This will include supervising and developing a team of Relationship Managers and Regional Trust Officers in order to promote Trustmark’s brand within the given market.


Manages an account base consisting of large and complex relationships with personal financial services clients including more sensitive situations. This responsibility typically involves
Administering client fiduciary relationships ensuring
that fiduciary standards and practices are observed,
Assuming responsibility for overall client satisfaction by directing the efforts of appropriate bank resources to ensure timely delivery of quality service, issue resolution,
and effective communication of client needs,
Cultivating a strong working relationships with clients
and their advisors in order to develop a complete
understanding of clients'' needs,
Educating client on bank products/services, emerging issues, regulatory/tax changes, and
advises clients on appropriate actions.
Develop new client relationships through active involvement with the communities “centers of influence” (Attorneys, CPA’s, etc.) as well as direct involvement in charitable organizations and other community groups.
Provide daily management, leadership, and supervision to direct reports through clearly communicating department goals/direction. Personnel management may include working with Human Resources to handle associate questions/problems, providing an annual salary budget for the region, performing the annual review of for each direct report, and handling any staffing issues.
Maintains a thorough understanding of Trustmark’s various resources in order to facilitate client service delivery and expand client relationships through the cross selling Trustmark’s various financial products and services.
Coordinate/Host seminars in order to educate clients and/or potential new clients on Trustmark’s products/services, estates, trust, emerging issues, regulatory/tax changes, etc. Seminars will be held for organizations, civil clubs, and the top clients and different Trust branches in the region.
Compliance/Regulatory Interact with regulatory agencies, such as the OCC, in order to provide all requested information in a timely manner. Also, manage risk through complying daily with the policies and procedures of Trustmark and government agencies.


Advanced Knowledge of trust, tax, estate planning, investments, and all fiduciary and financial products and services provided by Trustmark
Broad-based technical knowledge of investments, tax, legal, and operations are necessary to service clients.
Knowledge of fiduciary standards, principles, and applicable laws and regulations usually acquired through training, seminars, etc.
Working knowledge of personnel management and mentoring/coaching practices
Ability to lead others and create a team environment
Ability to provide daily supervision to a diverse group of associates

4 year college education
Graduate level education preferred
12 plus years’ experience in fiduciary servicing, in personal trust, or estate administration working with high net worth clients.
5 plus years of management experience
