POSITION NEEDS TO BE LOCATED IN ONE OF THE VALASSIS FACILITIES IN TEXAS.
Lead all facets of the sales cycle including prospecting, customer assessment, analysis, strategies, best practices ROI modeling, key industry research rollout, focus group information synthesis, competitive intelligence, marketing/sales proposals and alignment to existing solutions.
Present business updates, new opportunities and industry-driven initiatives and insights to Sr. Leadership and sales team as required.
Lead or assist in the development of client proposal, sales and contract negotiations through the close of new or renewed business
Lead strategic planning sessions with all sales to uncover new opportunities as well as share revenue/profit building ideas and opportunities with other corporate teams, sales leaders and sales teams as required
Recruit, select, train, develop and motivate a sales team toward increased productivity including growth of existing clients and gaining closure of prospective clients.
Coach sales teams to optimum performance, talent development, and achievement of sales goals.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent; or ten or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years of direct selling & prospecting experience using various selling techniques.
Proven leader with success in securing new opportunities – cross industry experience required.
Minimum 5 - 8 years experience working for a media planning and delivery agency.
Experience and working knowledge of marketing/media products and services including targeting capabilities, and distribution alternatives.
Demonstrated experience in forecasting and sales reporting.
Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Highly developed client solution selling skills / targeting skills.
Strategic accounts planning and client solution development.
Well developed PC skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
