The Registrar Receptionist - Clinic schedules new and
established patients for office visits and follow-up
appointments; greets and checks patients in and out of
practice site; receives and registers patients; manages
the telephone; prepares charts; informs patients of
financial policy and accepts over the counter payments;
collects patient co-payments and deductibles for
services rendered; issues cash receipts; balances daily
cash, batches encounter forms at end of day, ensures all
tickets are collected at end of day. Works to
clear/correct registration assigned work queues. Works
with Medical Support Staff to ensure patient
authorization information is accurate and facilitates
timely approval of insurance authorizations,
consultations, and referrals. Generates treatment plans
as required and follows up on phone calls, and
correspondence involving all insurances. Reconciles
daily cash, prepares bank deposits and ensures all
checks, charges, credit card transaction record, voided
receipts, and manual receipts and UBR (User Batch
Report) is submitted to Accounting.

Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a recognized
medical secretarial program. Two years of experience in
a medical office, clinic or other health care setting.
