Reporting directly to the Center Director, the Registrar is responsible for handling accounts receivable and payable duties, maintaining Center financial and student records, preparing letters and standard forms and performing administrative/receptionist duties. Additional responsibilities include:
Collecting, depositing and recording all monies coming into the Center including, registering students
Updating student information to the Customer Billing System (CBS)
Reconciling and resolving accounting problems and/or questions. Compiling, maintaining and submitting all required financial reports and forms.
Enrolling walk-in applicants online and preparing the Form I-20 for the Center Director or other Designated School Official's review and approval
Communicating with appropriate Center, Central Admissions, and PHQ personnel on admissions matters such as enrollment totals, student ID numbers, FTE report, reserved accommodations, and airport pick-ups.
Maintaining and reconciling the petty cash fund
Processing check requests for Center payables
Monitor postage meter usage and adding postage when necessary
Maintaining inventory for phone cards, dictionaries, and other items sold to students
Reconciling phone card collections and maintaining student files
Collect proof of insurance and waiver forms or issuing student insurance cards
Perform other duties as necessary or assigned

High school diploma with courses in bookkeeping and/or accounting and data entry required
Six months of general clerical experience and one year of basic bookkeeping and/or accounting experience, including use of a computer required; previous cross-cultural experience helpful
Must have the ability to work with numbers and related financial reports quickly and accurately, and have a preference for business contacts with people of various cultures and for activities of a routine and organized nature
Should have good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to handle a wide variety of job duties
In Service Training: Following a training program provided by the Accounting department, 120 working days under the supervision of the Center Director
