Under general supervision of the manager of Ambulatory Care Services, obtains additional personal, medical, or insurance information, and to obtain necessary consent signatures. The registration functions are performed during hours of operation. Assists throughout the department and other areas, maintains department records and statistics, and performs related duties as assigned. Promotes good public relations and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers, patients, visitors, and physicians. Supports the philosophy, goals and objectives of Loretto Hospital. Perform clerical/registration functions, assist with orient new staff and provide in-services on new insurances and processes.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months to a year registration experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a hospital/acute setting strongly preferred.
