will be responsible for new business development and account retention for the government market.
Develop independent leads within the marketplace for deposit and credit services.
Coordinate with Treasury Management, Operations and Risk Management to structure proposed banking services for prospects and customers.
Prepare and present comprehensive customized deposit and credit services proposals to prospective clients.
Structure and manage the implementation process of new customers for deposit services.
Manage a complex portfolio of customer relationships for deposit/credit services. Cross-sell additional bank products to deepen existing relationships and generate new revenue.
Develop annual business plan for increasing portfolio revenues and profitability through proper management of, and cross-selling to, existing relationships and from new business sales.
Actively ensure compliance with Union Bank's Business Standards of Conduct and all Patriot Act, CIP, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, and other regulatory and compliance policies and procedures.
Actively participate in any required corporate and business line Compliance Training.
Adhere to account opening procedures and follow internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively work with customers to understand each clients normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.
Typically requires a degree from a four-year college.
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification.
Requires 5 years of sales and relationship management experience.
Candidate must possess: Strong interpersonal sales skills with excellent oral and written communications; Ability to negotiate customer and prospect contracts; and skilled at presenting professional banking services proposals.
Requires thorough knowledge of treasury management products and services, government code, and some knowledge of fund accounting.
Familiar with multiple software applications, to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Frequent travel with extensive travel in a geographically assigned territory.
