ARCADIS is seeking a Remediation Construction/Task Manager role to support a growing base of engineered treatment system projects to be supported out of our Las Vegas, Nevada office. This is an opportunity for a dynamic individual looking for career growth in environmental remediation consulting. Project work will include responsibility for construction task management as well as assisting in various design, O&M and other field efforts. This individual will be accountable for the safe and successful completion of each project. The Remediation Construction/Task Manager is expected to complete his or her assignments on the projects at the level of quality and safety established for each specific task/project.
The Remediation Construction/Task Manager responsibilities are to:
Work on projects providing field/construction support for remedial investigations, feasibility studies, treatability studies, remedial design constructability support, system O&M support, and implementation of engineered treatment system and remedial construction projects. This position requires travel to various projects located throughout the Southwestern United States to assist, manage, or review current project efforts.
Conduct field work consisting of site inspections, construction oversight/management, and system O&M.
Safely execute the project consistent with the project Health and Safety Plan, ARCADIS H&S Standards, and client expectations.
Effectively and efficiently execute the project consistent with the project work plan, permits, regulatory requirements, and design/construction documents.
Provide constructability support for engineering design projects, project cost estimation, scheduling coordination/development, and system O&M.
Work with subcontractors, setting up contracts, administering contracts, and managing day-to-day activities on large construction/remediation projects.
Travel to various sites to evaluate project progress, schedule, budget, safety, and compliance.
Support environmental and civil permitting activities.
Assist the field teams at the project sites when necessary.
Prepare proposals and cost estimates and manage client communication and development activity.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum years of experience: 7
Education required: BS in environmental engineering or related field.
Skills required: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Registrations/Certifications required (or ability to obtain):
40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER
8 hour OSHA supervisor
10-hour / 30-hour OSHA Construction
Confined Space Supervisor
Preferred Qualifications:
Years' experience preferred: 7-10
Experience with working on projects involving engineered remediation systems projects a plus. As well as working with subcontractors and teams on project sites.
Skills required: Excellent communication skills
Skills preferred: Employee and contractor management skills; AutoCAD.
Registrations/Certifications preferred: PE
This position does require travel. Travel amount is 50-75%.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
This position does manage others including subcontractors.
