The Repair Engineer uses elements of design, materials, manufacturing and aftermarket for the design and sourcing of component repair procedures. The position works with customers such as Civil Small and medium engines, Defense Sector, Helicopters, Energy, Marine and OEM Operations. The Repair Engineer has key relationships with the Customer Facing Business Unit (CFBU) Aftermarket, Service Engineering, repair suppliers, engine shops, Supply Chain Unit (SCU), Design, Materials Technology and Global Repair Services (GRS).
The Repair Engineer will have the following key accountabilities:

- Developing, documenting, substantiating and implementing component repair schemes for Rolls-Royce products. The type of repair activity includes Technical Variances, Standard Practices and both source and non-source controlled repair schemes
- Repair Engineering support for engine shop, repair supplier or Operations repair activities
- Identifying new repair opportunities and support of design for service initiatives
- Sourcing approval of suppliers for source controlled repair procedures
