Scope of the Job
Provides application support and maintenance for the system applications including development. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME). Performs modifications and/or enhancements to systems.
The essential functions are the primary dimensions for performance review.
Develops and maintains SQL reports.
Coordinates implementation and connectivity.
Troubleshoots and reports system issues to vendors through appropriate vendor solution. Monitor and test resolution of those issues sent to vendors.
Responds to user problems and questions regarding functionality, operations, input/output, and general operating procedures for system applications.
Responds to technical, network and equipment issues from vendors and end users. Creates ad-hoc reports as needed for troubleshooting.
Provides/recommends innovative ideas, processes and/or procedures for enhancements, additions and/or modifications to improve the existing systems.
For Information System position
Builds and maintains Lawson modules including menu development.
Creates and maintains security and user IDs on Lawson system.
Works with Accounting and HR for updates, adds and deletes for access.
Schedule and coordinate implementation of patches and upgrades for both test and live systems, including other third party vendors.
Builds and maintains Allscripts modules including menu and screen development.
Builds and maintains Allscripts templates and user lists.
Creates and maintains security and user ids on Allscripts system.
Notifies transcription company of updates, adds and deletes for access.
Builds and maintains Allscripts dictionaries.
Tests all equipment and network connectivity on site before implementation at that site.
On call rotation schedule 24x7.
Secondary Functions for Clinical Data Quality position
PBI (Data Warehouse)
Creates and maintains security and user ID’s on system.
Schedules and coordinates upgrades with third party vendor and testing.
Builds and maintains advanced reports and project developments including but not limited to pilot testing
Must be able to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations. Extensive experience with Microsoft office products.
Experience PC client software and hardware at a technical level.
Strong SQL development experience including stored procedure development.
Experience with data warehouse design.
Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
Experience with computerized physician AR, scheduling or other related medical billing/management systems, and/or electronic health record and/or accounting/HR/payroll systems preferred.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Education and Certifications
High School Graduate or GED equivalent required.
College and or vocational/technical training in related areas preferred.
College course work and/or vocational/technical training may substitute for a portion of the required experience.
