                          This position is located in Serra Mesa.

                          8-hour shift

                          • BS in Healthcare related field required
                          • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification required
                          • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC-ACRP) preferred
                          • Five (5) years prior clinical experience in neonatal research required
                          • Uses appropriate medical terminology
                          • Demonstrates expertise and good clinical practice techniques
                          • Demonstrates knowledge of clinical research requirements and skills
                          • Demonstrates good documentation skills
                          • Demonstrates a friendly, positive and caring approach towards the clients served
                          • Demonstrates good decision-making abilities and ability to work independently
                          • Good written and verbal communication skills
                          The Research Coordinator-Neonatal will be responsible for the implementation of neonatal research studies in one of the largest NICUs in California. Organizes and coordinates neonatal clinical research studies from IRB/FDA approved protocols. Performs clinical research studies in compliance with GCP/ICH adherence. Provides research support to Sharp neonatologists in their role as investigators and/or sub-investigators; sharing in the responsibility for successful completion of clinical research studies at Sharp. Maintains working knowledge of assigned research projects and facilitates their success

                          Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns (SMBHWN) has a 61-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)-- the largest of its kind in Southern California.                           Located in San Diego, it is nationally recognized for its care of expectant mothers and delivering babies, as well as its Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – the largest in Southern California.
