Recognized as leaders in the field, the UBC Health Economics team brings together research from a diverse set of backgrounds, including Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Engineering, Operations Research and Statistics, to offer innovative and high quality research designed to evaluate medical technologies and provide decision makers with rigorous, relevant evidence. We work in multi-disciplinary teams integrating mathematical modelling, database analytics, evidence synthesis, epidemiology and biostatistics. The Modelling & Simulation group at UBC has been at the forefront of mathematical modelling in the field, and is involved in diverse projects in health economics, epidemiology, public health and clinical trial simulation. Position Overview: Entry-level position. Provides assistance to project staff for research and analysis activities, while developing skills in pharmacoeconomics, mathematical modeling, and project management
This individual will possess the following skills:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who possesses exemplary time and project management skills to concurrently coordinate competing projects, managers, and clients. The successful candidate will be a fast learner, and have the aptitude/eagerness for additional development and a strong interest in science, medicine or health related subjects.

As this is an entry-level position, applicants will have completed a minimum of a BS or BA in economics, biology, natural sciences, health sciences or a related field. Quantitative work a plus. This candidate should also have prior experience in Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint. Prior experience doing literature and web searches a plus.
