Entry level training position for recent undergraduates focused on rapid development of skills necessary to support scientific projects. Designed to be a rapid-pass-through level with rapid accumulation of skills and experience.

•Assists with site recruitment, site contracting and IRB submissions, site management, and site training.
•Assists with data collection, including traveling for one-on-one interviews and co-moderating focus groups.
•Drafts, reviews, and assists with reports, dossiers, protocols, etc. under supervision of more senior staff members.
•Assists with article extraction and searches for literature reviews under supervision of more senior staff members.
•Works with Quality Assurance to maintain electronic and paper study files, as well as other administrative duties.
•Fulfils job responsibilities under supervision of more senior scientific staff members. None to limited client contact.
•None to very limited project-related travel (0 – 5% of the time).
Financial & Business Development
•No proposal writing requirement of this position, although individuals may choose to work on sections of selected proposals if interested.
Outcomes Operations Support
•Conforming to SOPs and other MEDCO trainings
•Attends trainings for Outcomes Research-related tasks and skills
Key Performance Metrics
•Utilization rate – Billable work on project
•Performance on Project Teams – Assessed by PM and PI
Minimum Education Level/Years of Experience
MA/MS and less than one year experience (or equivalent thereof in outcomes research/or related field)
BA/BS and less than two years experience (or equivalent thereof in outcomes research/or related field)
Computer programming or software skills required for position
Required: MS Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook; ability to use Access with interface provided
Optional: ATLAS.ti, EndNote, DataFax
Specific skills or knowledge required for position
•Understanding of basic research methods and statistics
•Ability to multitask (i.e handle several projects simultaneously)
•Sharp attention to detail
•Ability to work in a collaborative environment
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Degree, interest, or experience in science or health-related fields preferred
•Scientific writing experience preferred
