Research Assistant Professor - Pediatric Dentistry

The Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the College of Dentistry is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time faculty non-tenure track position of Research Assistant Professor. The Department has a history of strong interaction with Public Health, thus the ideal candidate should be able to work well within that environment.

Responsibilities will include teaching Pediatric Dentistry resident courses in research methods and statistical analysis, managing community outreach for the College's oral cancer control program, developing community collaborative research projects in health disparities, collaborating with the University's Cancer Center and the Center for Population Health and Health Disparities in developing
cancer disparities research programming in community health clinics, professional service, and scholarly activity, including mentoring of graduate student research projects.

The desired candidate must have an accredited PhD or equivalent research degree, strong research design and statistical knowledge, a minimum of five years of experience in community-based participatory research in cancer control, oral health promotion, and health disparities, experience directing research programs, and a record of successful investigator-initiated, funded research.
