Advertised Summary Job Description

Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Research Assistant performs a variety of duties related to the application and analysis of Holter recordings, performance of signal averaged ECGs, application of memory loop recorders and performance of transtelephonic pacemaker interrogations. She/He will aslo serve as a patient educator. Also supervises maintenance of Holter equipment and maintains a clean and safe working environment for employees and patients, enters patient information into database. Analyzes Holter recordings on the computerized system and generates a report which is then interpreted by the cardiologist. Participates in the maintenance of daily and monthly statistics for Holter and testing. Maintains appropriate records for regulatory compliance. Interfaces with other hospital departments as needed to ensure that patients are appropriately supervised (i.e. transport, etc.). Orders all supplies and maintains clinical and clerical supplies to ensure a smooth workflow. Troubleshoots equipment problems and identifies areas where equipment needs improvement. Performs other related duties as required.

Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and/or experience. The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made.
