We are seeking a talented and highly motivated team player to join the Cancer Biology Discovery Group as a Research Associate. The candidate should have a familiarity in signal transduction as well as experience working with antibodies including western blotting, immunoaffinity purification and immunoprecipitation. Experience with mammalian cell culture, analytical biochemistry, and protein purification are desired. Familiarity with proteomics and mass spectrometry data interpretation are also desired. Major techniques involved in this job include preparation of samples for mass spectrometry analysis, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation and cell culture techniques. A B.S. in cell biology or biochemistry with 2 + years of laboratory experience is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills and a willingness to learn new techniques are a must. The applicant should be highly motivated, demonstrate broad scientific skills and display a fundamental understanding of biological processes.
