Qualifications Summary:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four year university or college in a related field and at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description Summary:
Mid- to senior- level technical position in a Flow Cytometry Core laboratory that provides cell analysis and sorting services to support the diverse research projects of greater than 60 investigators. Works in a flexible team environment with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Operates and maintains multi-laser instruments used in fluorescence activated cell analysis, and possibly cell sorting. Operates a BD FACS Canto instrument (8-10 color) and/or a BD FACS Aria II (11 color) to analyze cell samples; uses DIVA and/or SUMMIT analysis software; assists investigators in interpretation of generated data; prepares graphs and tables for investigators. Exhibits very good interpersonal and communication skills; writes and maintains standard operating protocols; performs calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cytometry equipment; maintains accurate recharge records; manages reagent inventories; orders basic lab supplies; uses universal precautions in the handling of human cell samples. May perform additional duties as required.
