Position Summary:

Seeking highly trained professional with background in econometrics and policy analysis to support projects on a broad range of business and economic research. The primary purpose of this is position is to provide guidance on research resources and generate data analyses in the targeted programmatic areas of entrepreneurship, economic development, and global competitiveness.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline and 5 years of research analysis. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Qualification and Experience:

The job demands project management experience, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work pro-actively in a high-level research oriented environment. 3-5 years of proven programming experience in a workplace or research setting. Ability to present complex research materials and statistical data in a clear and concise writing style is a core requirement. Demonstrated excellence in developing various documentation (e.g. creating web pages and other marketing materials) is essential (i.e. HTML, CSS, SharePoint, Adobe CS suite, etc.). Five years of technical experience and knowledge in research, statistical analysis, and data mining best practices, concepts, and procedures are also required. Advance knowledge and training in statistics required. Proven ability to manipulate and analyze data using statistical analysis packages. The successful candidate will have experience applying and analyzing data using statistical software such as SAS, GIS and other common software packages used by faculty. Requires knowledge of computer technology, systems methodology, information management, and data warehousing. Requires attention to detail and ability to assimilate large amounts of data from various sources. Demonstrated success in leading data driven operations research of business systems is important. Proven ability to work independently and proactively with high-level clientele to support the design and development of customer-oriented products, reports and documents is critical. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, manage tasks, and a variety of demands.
