Candidate will assist with the day to day administrative project management and may provide scientific direction for research projects of considerable scope and complexity. Assists with the day to day project management coordination for research projects to include personnel, facilities, supplies in support of research project desired outcomes, budgets, and timeliness. Collects, evaluates, and interprets research data to prepare patient reports for patients and PIs and other staff members. Updates notebooks, records, and databases as needed. Maintains confidential records of collected data, ensures accuracy and integrity of data. Data may include patient data and departmetnal programmatic data. Maintains accurate and timely records utilizing several electronic database programs including Filemaker, Allscripts, and Care4 EMR. Assists with research budgeting needs, requests and preparation. Interacts with representatives from state, federal, and private agencies regarding proposals and funded projects. Prepares departmental reports and communication for the research and clinical team. Research activities may include some or all of the following: patient recruiting and screening, informatics, training, and assisting with the daily flow of patient activities.
This position may be filled as a Research Nurse or Sr. Research Nurse depending on each candidate's qualifications.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a minimum of one year of related experience. Registered Nurse (State of Texas)
Senior Research Nurse:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a minimum of three years of related experience. Registered Nurse (State of Texas).
Prior Cardiac experience preferred. Diagnostic Testing Center/Out patient/Physician office expereince a plus. "Strong communication and patient care skills, computer skills including word processing and basic knowledge of database, ability to work and function well within a team. Must have an interest in good diet, exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
