    Conducts needs analysis to determine appropriate product/service requirements for new or existing clients.
    • Responds to customer inquiries or complaints via incoming telephone calls or email correspondence.
    • Assist internal and external clients with mapping/edit issues.
    • Clearly communicate technical and non-technical resolutions to customer, Customer Service Representative, Account Manager through written or verbal communication.
    • Daily and weekly coordination issue updates from different escalation points or databases.
    • Accurately document case progress, resolution or escalation in applicable systems.
    • To complete any assigned tasks in a thorough and detail-oriented manner.
    • To escalate customer-level issues in a manner consistent with department protocol.
    • To contribute to the growth and development of the support department by identifying any possible areas of needed improvement and adapting to any changes.
    • To answer incoming calls in a manner consistent with department protocol
    • To be available for support calls at the expected times unless previously arranged with management.
    • To provide assistance to Emdeon customers while maintaining a courteous manner and helpful attitude.
    • To organize personal resources for easy access and future reference.
    Skills and Knowledge
    Preferred but not required; a working knowledge of NCPDP, messaging standards for transmitting prescription information electronically between prescribers, providers, and other entities. This includes electronic transmission of new prescriptions, changes of prescriptions, prescription refill requests, prescription fill status notifications, cancellation notifications, relaying of medication history, and transactions for long-term care.
    • Knowledge of ePrescribing Health care Industry related to EDI transactions.
    • NCPDP script format requirements as it relates to edits and mapping.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Organiziational skills.
    Experience and Skill Requirements
    • High School diploma or GED - experience in a call center or technical desk
    • Organized
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to function independently as well as in a group
    • Ability to navigate through multiple computer applications simultaneously
    • Ability to adhere to a schedule
