Position Summary
The Speech, Language, and Brain Lab in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is seeking a Research Technician to work on an NIH funded grant investigating sentence comprehension in people with aphasia. Responsibilities would include experimental development, recruitment and testing of participants, data entry, and general lab administration. Methods include eye-tracking, behavioral testing of people with aphasia, and testing normally aging adults.
This is a part-time, benefits eligible position to begin July 9, 2012.

Duties and Responsibilities
Human subject recruitment and scheduling.
Data collection.
Data management and analysis.
Experiment development.
Administrative duties relevant to the project.
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Four years research experience appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
Additional Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
B.A. or B.S. degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences, Psychology, Linguistics, Cognitive science, Neuroscience, or a related field.
Research experience in the behavioral or neural sciences. *Experience with methods used to study sentence comprehension and/or with people who have aphasia is preferred.
The successful applicant must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills required.
