Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Education in specific field related to Biological Science. One year full time experience directly related to the project or program. Laboratory positions require experience in a laboratory environment/or laboratory analysis. Experience in tissue collection and banking. Knowledge of basic office software such as Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science. Knowledge of IRB tracking. Excellent writing skill and the ability to work independently with attention to detail. Experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Brief Description of Duties: The Research Technician will be responsible for the following:
- Recruit and consent patients for research studies.
- Gather clinical data.
- Sample collection.
- Assist in coordinating and writing IRB/GCRC protocols, grants, and study publications.
Other Duties: As assigned.
Special Notes: This is a full time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
