Responsibilities
The Program in Immunology in the Clinical Research Division is looking for a highly motivated individual to perform research experiments on human immune cells, maintain cell cultures, and operate analytical instruments. This individual will be directly involved in the production of lentiviral vectors that express genes, transduction of T cells with lentiviral vectors, maintenance of cell lines and analysis of cell function. The individual will have the opportunity to learn and work with a variety of cutting-edge cellular and molecular research techniques. This person will also be responsible for maintaining meticulous records and organizing and reporting on experimental results.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a biological science and at least one year of bench research experience outside of course work is essential. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and meticulous and has demonstrated research excellence in prior projects.

Experience in cell separation and selection, tissue culture, flow cytometry, chromium release assays, ELISPOT and ELISA is desirable.

Experience in molecular techniques including PCR, DNA sequencing, western blotting, viral vector production is also desirable.

Part of the job responsibilities may require working outside of typical work hours and very rarely on weekends.
