Resident - Pharmacy
Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, and according to standard procedure the Pharmacy Resident (Pharmacy Practice or Specialty) is a pharmacist in training who provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, clinical services and teaching. The resident provides services consistent with other services provided by pharmacists at UC Health. The resident training program is jointly supported by the corporate department of Pharmacy Services of UC Health and specific training sites of Jewish and University Hospitals.
Knowledge and Skills
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Communication skills, competency in dispensing pharmaceuticals, preparing IV admixtures, and providing drug information. Experience in unit dose and I.V. Admixtures is desirable.
Licenses and Certifications:
A PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Ohio. If not licensed, the candidate must be licensed by October 31 of their residency year.
