The job description and criteria based job performance evaluation emphasizes the criteria expected in the performance of staff therapist for the Cardiac Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. The staff therapist is responsible for implementing the respiratory regimen and assisting with pulmonary participant support. The staff therapist will work closely with the Cardiac Pulmonary Rehab patient care manager and member of the multidiscipline team.
Accredited by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), and licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Preferred Member of Texas Association Cardiovascular Pulmonary Rehabilitation (TACVPR).
Must be a graduate of an accredited one-year program for Respiratory Care approved by the American Medical Association and/or RCP, or degree in rehabilitation. Experience in pulmonary rehabilitation including participant care, exercise testing and exercise prescription. Basic EKG class prior to employment or within six months. Repeat EKG class every two years.
CRT or RRT. Current CPR.
ACLS & NRP Required, PALS preferred, If CRT-need to be RRT Eligible
