Provides Cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physicians orders, departmental policies and procedures.
Administers respiratory therapy treatments while understanding purpose of each and possible side affects.
Sets up and monitors mechanical ventilators.
Performs airway management and tracheal suctioning.
Performs arterial punctures to obtain aterial blood gas analysis.
To qualify for this position, the candidate must be credentialed by the NBRC as an RRT or CRT, or be a graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy training program who is eligible to take the entry level CRT exam.
Candidates must possess a state of Florida therapist or technician license from the Department of Health.
Candidates with prior critical care experience and/or diagnostic testing experience are preferred.
