Shift: Days, Every other weekends and overtime required.
Workweek: FT 36 hrs/wk: 12 hours shift
Performs all aspects of Respiratory Therapy Services. The RRT has the primary duty of coordinating daily departmental activity. The Registered Respiratory Therapist serves as a resource person for the nursing and medical staff in the care of the individual with need for breathing treatments, oxygen therapy and ventilator management. As necessary the Registered Respiratory Therapist is involved as an active member of the health care team in caring for these individuals. Will perform as acting department head in the absence of the department head.
Formal Education: Associate Degree or certification equivalent
Experience: 6 months
Minimum Knowledge: Requires thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field.
Experience Desired: RRT
License Requirements: NYS Licensed Respiratory Therapist
Registration Requirements: BLS, ACLS (within 6 mos. of hire), RRT
