Restaurant Shift Supervisor – Restaurant Food Service Manager

We are seeking levelheaded and outgoing Restaurant Shift Supervisors to successfully maintain the quality, high level of customer service and cleanliness typical of a Carrols restaurant during your shifts through the enforcement of our established policies and procedures. As a Restaurant Shift Supervisor with Carrols, you will direct three to ten hourly restaurant crew employees as they perform the activities necessary for a successful shift operation, stepping in for the Assistant Manager or Restaurant Manager as needed. You will maintain shift operation continuity and ensure that crew members follow safety, security and operations procedures. You will also implement and execute all administrative responsibilities such as petty cash, daily deposits, inventories and daily reports directly related to your shift or as delegated by the Restaurant Manager.

J ob Responsibilities
As a Restaurant Shift Supervisor with Carrols, you will ensure that customers receive prompt and courteous service. You will utilize our training tools to train crew members in food preparation, sanitation, proper appearance, customer relations, suggested sales techniques and safety to increase their proficiency and professional skills. You will also ensure that products meet quality and quantity requirements, equipment operations run smoothly, sanitation standards are complied with and the restaurant is kept neat and attractive.

Additional responsibilities of the Restaurant Shift Supervisor include:
Receiving and resolving customer complaints in a tactful manner to preserve customer satisfaction

Organizing crew members to provide customers with products prepared in accordance with established guidelines

Supporting consistent lines of communication between crew employees and restaurant management personnel

Counting cash on hand at shift change and restaurant close to determine if there are overages or shortages and to provide the Restaurant Manager with bank statement deposit data

Implementing and executing appropriate shift cash controls to ensure that there is proper accountability of restaurant funds

Taking stock inventory at close to provide the Restaurant Manager with data needed to order supplies and identify shortages

Performing other duties as assigned

Skills:
As a Restaurant Shift Supervisor with Carrols, you must have the drive to grow and succeed professionally and a natural aptitude for leadership. You must be friendly, bright and organized and you must possess superb customer service and communication skills. You must display the integrity and character necessary to make ethical decisions for our business and customers and you must take initiative to drive activity and change. You must also be able to make effective decisions quickly, find innovative solutions to problems and plan ahead in regards to restaurant operations.

Requirements
  • High school degree required; some college a plus
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • E xposure to the restaurant and food service industry required; retail experience a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete REAP Training Program
  • Ability to multi­task and maintain productivity, composure and a pleasant attitude under pressure
  • Leadership experience in community, school and/or church group preferred
  • Restaurant, food service and/or retail work experience preferred
  • Proficiency with POS cash registers and kitchen order screens preferred
  • Ability to delegate tasks and lead a team of employees a plus
