Implement integrated Benjamin Moore Marketing communications, strategies and tactics on a local level with Retailers that fully leverage and promote brand equity, strengthen and differentiate our channel, drive sales and advance our market position in current and future business domains.

Principle Responsibilities:
  • Increase the impact and efficiency of overall retail marketing plans to better position the channel and Benjamin Moore products rooted in improving the customer experience to create a sustainable market presence while not losing sight of short-term revenue requirements
  • Work with Retailers, market team, HQ and agencies to develop account-specific and group programs to promote our overall business plans and deliver on the markets goals
  • Manage the MarCom budget of assigned market ensuring programs are within budget and segment focused
  • Lead the execution of promotion analysis for all account-specific and group advertising programs executed in the market by working with the Retailer and customer segments as needed
  • Work with MGM to identify and prioritize accounts and develop strategies
  • Insure that Benjamin Moore Marketing communications are strategically based, focused and well orchestrated to customers and their consumer segments and other critical brand stakeholders
Execution of Process
  • Supervise the proper use of Co-op advertising funds and guidelines to ensure a consistent and efficient Benjamin Moore message to our targeted audiences based on retail objectives
  • Provide field input and market rationale to assist in the development of broad based marketing communication strategies for the retail channel that protect premium pricing and the brand image on both business objectives and regional objectives (primarily focusing on broader distribution of goods in new and expanded retail environments)
  • Manage and develop agency alliances under the direction of the Brand Marketing group in the area of marketing communications and local media outlets that can improve Benjamin Moore’s communications effectiveness
  • Manage precise business affairs’ practices resulting in a more effective and efficient use of external agency resources and provide clear, focused and business sensitive operating processes for all channel locations involved in marketing communication activities
Relationship Management
  • Forge an ongoing and consistent partnership among the Product, Retailing and Brand Marketing teams by demonstrating value as a leader in defining and managing the promotions strategy, messaging, and targeted retail experience
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the development and execution of the retail national promotions and events
  • Manage all agencies as they pertain to the field and their requests with all segments of the organization
  • Work with stakeholders to develop brand messaging as it relates to retail marketing requirements

Required Skills
  • Four year college degree or equivalent business experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in traditional brand and retail management, advertising agencies and/or specialty services marketing
  • Experience in developing marketing events and programs.
  • General mastery of various marketing communication tools from traditional advertising promotions, public relations and media to the more contemporary use of event, direct/database and interactive tools
  • Experience in media planning and buying as well as developing, negotiating and executing contracts when necessary
