Administers compliance of Delhaize America’s retirement plans, plan documents, vendor compliance and other regulatory requirements. Develops, implements and administers an effective tracking system for all plan documents, regulatory and communication requirements. Works closely with internal communications and third party administrator on all associate communication materials. Analyzes and forecasts transactions and expenses ensuring compliant and cost-effective plan operations for assigned plan. Resolves benefit plan operational issues working with associates, vendors, and auditors. Works with a variety of internal and external contacts including vendor/consultants, auditors, attorneys, actuaries, custodians and trustees.

Job Requirements
•Bachelor’s Degree.
•Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
•Understanding of ERISA and other benefit laws.
•Ability to maintain confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous legal experience a plus (not required).
Skills and Abilities:
•Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
•Organizational skills with detail orientation.
•Excellent communication skills, including conflict management.
Job Details
Creates and maintains a document library for all retirement plans. Analyzes vendor contracts and recommends changes to management and legal, then works to finalize and distribute documents.
•Monitors assigned benefit program transactions, analyzing operational trends and issues.
•Assists manager by developing plan forecasts modeling expenses, selecting appropriate assumptions, and communicating scenario analysis findings.
•Responds to legal orders related to associate benefit plans. Determines qualification of orders, appropriate benefits assigned, and communicates determination to appropriate designated parties.
•Works with a variety of internal and external vendor contacts to resolve most complex associate issues and claims. Builds and maintains strong business partnership relationships.
•Leads Benefits project teams assigning/monitoring work and ensuring project milestones and goals are met.
•Develops and enhances systems and processes to ensure compliance with government regulations and SOX.
•Serves as a resource for annual plan audits. Assists with providing information needed for the preparation of annual reports and regulatory filings.
•Plans correspondence, department reports, presentation materials and other documentation for management and department team members. Provides back up supporting activities of department team members.
•Assists manager with projects and other duties as assigned.
•Assists manager with analyses and recommendations related to special projects and strategies to improve effectiveness of the team.
•Assists manager with communication efforts in support of all retirement benefit plans.
•Evaluates marketing materials for cost effectiveness and develops metrics for evaluating success.
•Develops and monitors marketing efforts to ensure that budgets are followed while optimizing costs.
•Monitors regulatory rules to ensure compliance with all necessary plan communications.
