ARES Corporation is currently recruiting for a Risk Analyst/Engineer. This position is responsible for but not limited to: Performing detailed risk-based assessments for Space Launch System (SLS) Program Schedule and Software Schedule in support of MSFC-NASA. The work will involve data research and collection that is considered relevant to the SLS integrated master schedule (including System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) and Stage/Element Design activities) and software development schedule (including requirement development, testing and qualification activities). The Risk Analyst/Engineer will conduct and document short, focused interviews with key project personnel as an aid to identify uncertainty distributions associated with the current program schedule and software development plan. The Risk Analyst/Engineer will perform an uncertainty analysis and develop recommendations for an improved program and a software development schedules, including all associated activities such as SE&I, design, test, qualification, development and test activities. The Risk Analyst/Engineer will develop or modify appropriate probability distributions for the each schedule phase, incorporating all associated technical and cost constraints. The Risk Analyst/Engineer will perform a Monte Carlo analysis of the program and software schedules to identify the major and critical risk drivers.

Commercial (or Governmental) Risk Management Software and Databases (some experience preferred)

Required Experience B.S. in Engineering or Mathematics. Minimum 8 years work experience involving large scale development programs with at least 4 years direct experience in risk management & analysis and program/project scheduling. Probabilistic Risk Basement (PRA) experience is desirable. Experience in NASA or Department of Defense (DOD) Development Programs is beneficial but not required.

Other: Must be able to successfully pass required background checks. U.S. Citizenship required.
