The Risk Analyst role is responsible for the development of critical risk analytics and ad hoc reports to aid in reducing risk (defaults) while maintaining pull through (volume) requirements. The role is to build, analyze, document, and interpret results for our ever-growing product suite to provide best in class results to exceed key profit hurdles.

Responsibilities:

The Risk Analyst role is responsible for the development of critical risk analytics and ad hoc reports to aid in reducing risk (defaults) while maintaining pull through (volume) requirements. The role is to build, analyze, document, and interpret results for our ever-growing product suite to provide best in class results to exceed key profit hurdles.

· Manage key analytic program library with all data input, exploratory data analysis, ad hoc analysis, model validations, and additional task management

· Ability to provided focused analysis of data attributes to understand patterns, insights from the information to aid in risk mitigation or product improvements / development.

· Ability to work independently to proactively analyze information to provide critical understanding surrounding defaults, net revenue, early collections, retention, and lifetime value.

· Continuous improvement mindset for continued refinement of analytic insights and reports.

· Solid understanding of key statistical techniques such as univariate, bivariate, decision trees, regression analysis, and other methods

· Continually test model results and compare against predecessor models or decision criteria

· Collaborate with risk and product team members along with VP of Risk Management in communicating results and SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats).

· Assist in Data Mining and Text Mining activities along with researching of state of the art solutions to enhance company’s capabilities

Requirements:

· Require Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or similar Business degree. Prefer Master’s Degree in quantitative concentration (Statistics, Finance, Economics)

· 2-5 years or more creating ad hoc analysis, reports, and mathematical models in financial services organization or data vendor with emphasis on risk management modeling projects

· Solid skills in working with statistical applications such as SAS, SPSS, R, Revolution Analytics, Statistica, or similar applications

· Ability to utilize data pulling tools such as SQL or other ETL tools

· Thorough understanding of statistical processes and continual development of skillset

· Ability to work with complex and large data sets

· Ability to work independent and follow key compliance protocol
