OpticsPlanet, Inc has an exciting entry level opportunity for an Order Review Agent in its Risk Management Team. Order Review Agent is responsible for reviewing customer orders to ensure that they meet all established Company policies based on rules and regulations of various U.S. Government institutions. The Order Review Agent will conduct customer verification, proper processing of orders, which is consistent with the products' classification, and preparation of all relevant shipping documents. Last but not least, the Agent will be responsible for enforcing the Company's fraud prevention policies and for following the procedures to properly handle fraudulent orders. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and process all international orders according to established Company processes and procedures
  • Follow the Company's policy on processing export orders for vendor restricted brands
  • Generate appropriate export documentation using provided tools and following established export procedures
  • Review all domestic orders for restricted products and follow Company processes and procedures to ensure full compliance
  • Follow Company guidelines to identify and resolve fraudulent orders
  • Interact with customers via phone and email to resolve outstanding issues related to their orders
  • Provide support and assistance to other Teams regarding Company compliance procedures and fraud prevention
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
  • Associate's degree or some completed college coursework is expected; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Political Science, Criminal Justice or related OR 1-2 years of experience in data entry, order processing or customer service capacity is preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required; experience and demonstrated ability to work with Order Management/ ERP systems is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
Personal Characteristics
  • Agents must be able to assimilate knowledge of U.S. Government Regulations and apply it to daily tasks.
  • Must be meticulous and detail oriented in reviewing orders and filling out appropriate documentation. Agents require patience, integrity and a keen eye for detail.
  • Agents must have the willingness to see customer issues through to resolution in a timely manner, including phone and e-mail communications.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently, demonstrate initiative, take direction and collaborate well with others.
  • Exemplary punctuality and attendance are required. After 4-6 week training, candidates must be willing to work Friday through Tuesday, with Wednesday/Thursday days off. Due to the seasonal nature of our business, all employees will be expected to work additional hours during November and December.
Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Specialist - Temporary Job Description Under general supervision of the designated leader, this position is responsible for shipping and receiving, inventory control, stocking products, keeping warehouse area neat and orderly. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive all incoming shipments and mail
  • Ship all outgoing domestic and international items including customer pickups
  • Prioritize and pick items to fill orders
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Receive items according to the Packing List and designated Purchase Order
  • Place received merchandise in the warehouse
  • Designate and organize warehouse stock by product line and by physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow
  • Maintain, handle and move physical inventory within the warehouse
  • Engage in continuous redesign and restructuring of warehouse space (additional shelving/prime location/overstock) according to sales report to ensure efficiency of operations
  • Perform periodic physical inventory
  • Pick product according to the Pick List and stage product for shipping using computerized inventory system
  • Pack product in designated container(s) in such a way that product is not damaged during delivery
  • Ensure all ready orders/DSPOs (and mail) are shipped the same day
  • Work with other departments such as Purchasing, Order Processing and QA/QC/RM to resolve any shipping and/or receiving issues
  • Be aware of changes in and comply with Export Control Rules and carriers' requirements
  • Assist with identification and segregation of defective merchandise
  • Ensure overall warehouse and assigned work station is neat and orderly
  • Maintain continuous communication over radio within the department and respond to inquiries from other departments
  • Be flexible to handle job rotation within the Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving department
  • Perform various housekeeping and maintenance tasks when called upon
  • Provide assistance with special events
  • Complete other projects as assigned
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment sufficient to work under general supervision
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to stand for 2 4 hours straight
  • Ability to move and lift products weighing as much as 70 pounds
  • Ability to operate powered and hand industrial vehicles such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Must be self-disciplined, motivated, and team focused
  • Ability to operate in a fairly intense environment to meet critical shipping deadline
  • Ability to start, control and maintain a complete process or procedure, while keeping safety and compliance at the forefront
  • Ability to carry out oral and written instruction of the designated leader
