TITLE: Risk Management-Credit Risk
LEVEL: Junior
DEPARTMENT: Risk Management

Position Responsibilities/Duties:
- Responsible for credit analysis, credit write-ups and credit risk control tasks

- Prepare credit applications and grading reviews to determine client creditworthiness

- Use bank resources to conduct client, industry and transaction research and analysis

- Make preliminary credit recommendation to the reporting line and management

- Adapt to the bank's internal credit assessment tools and document templates

- Interface with marketing desk and credit sanctioning authority during the approval process

- Prepare reports as required by management, the head office, auditors, and regulators

- Use the firm’s proprietary integrated transaction management system to manage trading lines

- Monitor and verify new and existing trades for compliance with credit approvals and policies

- Other pertinent credit database upkeep, credit control and analysis activities as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

Experience/Knowledge Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years experience analyzing credits, expertise in financial institutions desirable

- Completion of formal credit training and/or proven hands on experience as a financial analyst

- Experience with financial data spreading applications and internal credit rating systems

- Bachelor's Degree with major in Accounting/Finance/Economics

- Advanced degree (MBA) in Finance or professional financial certification preferred

- Lending and/or derivatives related operational experience a plus

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly spreadsheet functions, and Bloomberg
