SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Rules Developer will be responsible for the implementation and enhancement of business rules using the Blaze Advisor BRDMS This position will work on the enhancements initiative as a hands-on technical resource. This resource will work with the Project Managers and interface with business users to collect business rules. Other responsibilities include:
Work with portal development team to implement Blaze rules into customer facing website.
Work with Teamsite Content Management team related to Blaze rules compilation and deployment issues.
Work with Teamsite Content Management team related to resolve Content IDS and Blaze rules query issues.
Develop/manage Wizard and Incentives rule repository
Develop web application of Blaze rules authoring system (RMA).
Work with business partners to exploit efforts to ease the RMA usages.
Make required changes to the SUV system to automatically validate saved scenarios.
Make required changes to the application for business users to obtain rules statistic info at compilation time.
Make required changes to the application for business users to get warning notifications before they try to modify/delete content IDs which are used in RMA.
Update the application for automatic email notification for effective dates applied on rules.
A minimum of 8 years of experience development for large-scale enterprise applications including:
At least 4 years of experience in Java/J2EE;
At least 3 years of experience developing applications using rules engine technologies, such as Fair Isaac Blaze (preferred) or ILog;
At least 3 years of professional experience performing business rules analysis and development;
Experience in Service Oriented Architecture and Web Service development;
Strong knowledge of XML Technologies (XML, XSL, XSD);
Knowledge of Spring and Hibernate;
Experience with relational databases preferably Oracle;
Strong Knowledge of BEA Weblogic, UNIX, Solaris, and Linux;
Novell LDAP knowledge;
Ability to produce technical documentation;
Solid knowledge of testing tools and techniques;
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources;
Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made;
Must be able to take strategic direction from executive management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project;
Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
Must be able to provide documentation on their work.
Prior government project experience (NYC strongly preferred).
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
Blaze Advisor/RMA experience.
