TETRA Technologies, Inc has an immediate opening for an experienced Sales Manager, EOT/DHS TETRA Offshore, in The Woodlands, TX office. The successful candidate’s role is to build and lead a team of effective Senior Representatives and Sales Representatives who engage directly with clients to understand their needs as they relate to TETRA Offshore Services (TOS), lead the team to achieve monthly/annual sales targets, work with senior management to evolve the sales strategy to meet the needs of the customer and the needs of the business, and develop a customer-driven, sales led culture of performance.

Leadership and People Management
  • In line with the sales strategy, select, develop and retain high performing sales talent who are valued by customers for their expertise and service
  • Implement the tenets of sales disciplines within the team
  • Implement processes to secure behavioral change in salespeople consistency
  • Build, develop and lead a strong, well-managed sales team in the strategically focused TOS market
  • Achieve monthly sales results and grow revenue as quickly as possible while meeting margin/PBT expectations
  • Build an annual plan, broken down by quarter and month to maximize sales opportunities in each division
  • Develop high quality proposals and sales tools that can be leveraged throughout the company assigned
  • Along with marketing, continuously improve the sales guide content
Business Development
  • Work with TETRA Sales Management to design and implement a sales strategy that encompasses prospecting representatives, inside sales, field sales, commission only sales and partnerships
  • Identify and engage key organizations and associations that can be leveraged to drive sales
  • Partner with vertical providers to sell the integrated solutions
  • Build and manage a financially viable, auditable sales operation
Planning and Reporting
  • Develop and implement an annual business plan which includes objectives, strategies and tactics to exceed the assigned business goals
  • Implement timely reporting and inspection processes to drive sales momentum and keep senior management fully informed of progress
  • Report monthly and annual against forecast and/or plan numbers
  • Develop plans to ensure the assigned teams remain on target
Customer Satisfaction - Deliver Unanticipated Value
  • In conjunction with marketing, implement customer satisfaction measurement processes and use as a basis for rewarding performance, driving improvement and developing expansion plans
Teamwork - Collaborate Across Boundaries
  • Work with other TETRA teams to fully leverage the capabilities of the rest of the organization to drive sales and satisfy our customers
  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with Quality Policies and Procedures and meeting Quality Objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration or Engineering preferred
  • Ten or more years working in the oil and gas industry with at least 5 years in a TOS-related business preferred
  • Experience building and leading successful sales teams
  • Experience building and implementing sound business plans
  • Experience selecting and coaching both performers and non-performers
  • Experience working in integrated sales, marketing, engineering and support environment
  • Extensive external network experience
  • Sound knowledge of solution selling, preferably subsea or related industries
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing best practice models and processes
  • Self-motivated and motivational
